Turkey Foot Middle School Reviews

My daughter is an open enroll student at TFMS and loves it! She has had absolutely no problems with teachers, classes, or other students. It has been nothing but a positive experience. Parental involvement is encouraged and the Indians Club is a dedicated group of parents who strive to make the school community better for the students, parents and faculty. There are lots of extra curricular activities for the students to participate in--Yes...cheerleading and football. But there's also drama club, odyssey of the mind, forensics team, academic team, future problem solving, guitar club, volleyball, dance team, girls and boys basketball, track, and more. My daughter is a 6th grader and the transition from elementary school to middle school has been a very smooth one. Thanks to the wonderful staff at TFMS. Great school!

This is by far the best school in the area. I am so proud! academics are outstanding as well as athletics! I highly would recommend coming here!

There is a wide range in academic skills in the student body. This schools good reputation rests on the students opting to attend not the students zoned to attend. The behavior and need of discipline also reflects this situation. If you choose for your MS student to attend this school, be prepared to be active in deflecting some surprisingly strong behavioral issues from the other students.

I agree with most of the parent reviews that TFMS is a great school with highly qualified and responsive teachers and staff members. The band instructor is wonderful and I would highly recommend your son or daughter enrolling in band class. My son is now in high school doing extremely well and my daughter is a 7th grader at TFMS. The educational programs and opportunities during her 6th grade year were great! She was able to work at an excelerated level and was challenged without being overwhelmed!

This is my daughter's third year at Turkey Foot Middle School. I haven't encountered a 'bad' teacher; and the principal is very attentive. The extracurricular activities are plentiful. Parental involvment is encouraged. My 8th grade daughter loves it.

Turkey foot is the way to go ! I went there for my 6th grade year during 2006-2007 and it was great. There teachers are excellent and the princapal is so fun and awsome! The band teacher is so fun and so is the rest of them you would be so lucky to go to this school! and if you say anything bad about this school your crazy! GO TFMS!:)

The Kenton County school district seems to be striving to attract and keep the most disinterested, jaded teachers and administrators in the state. Music, art, theater, are not invested in nor is the possibility ever discussed. Extracurricular activities are virtually nonexistent unless your child plays football or is a cheerleader. To say that bullying runs rampant and unchecked at this school is an understatement. Parental involvement is seriously frowned upon. If you enroll your children here, be prepared for battle.

Turkey foot was a wonderful school. My student loved it. He was very impressed with the princapal and the teachers. I was glad that that school had a good dress code and the it was strickly infornce. I never worryed that I was sending my children to a bad school when they were at turkey foot.
